Magnatech LED and Babbage Consultants have meticulously designed and developed the high mast poles, foundations and lighting arrangements to best suit New Zealand conditions. In most cases the products exceed site specific requirements and allow for future upgrades.
Our high mast poles are designed with a life of 50 years and therefore considered an indefinite structure when maintained. The coatings system life to first major maintenance means that the system needs to be maintained to reach a longer design life – normal maintenance would include washing regularly and patch repair of coatings up until the first major maintenance time of 15+ years. At the first major maintenance time it would be expected that the system would need to be overcoated – this is a specialist’s domain and we would get a painting specialist to advise.
Maintenance of luminaires is no essential but is recommended to be undertaken every 3 – 5 years. The objective is to clean the surface of dust and grime to maintain performance. This can commonly co-inside with the high mast pole maintenance.
Construction monitoring is required to form the PS1. Inspection for the acceptance of the foundation and excavation will commonly be one inspection. This is considered the pre pour inspection milestone.
The steelwork erection inspection (i.e. to look at the final installation to confirm that bolt tensioning has been completed adequately) is required to complete the construction monitoring.
Southern QA provide our in-country factory inspections which are followed up with TUV Rhienland production monitoring. Our world class, semi-automated provide a superior quality product and offers the scope to scale our range and support custom designs for site specific projects.
